August 2,2002(Enorth.com.cn)-On the morning of August 1, participants of 2002 Tianjin International Children's Art Festival from more than 30 foreign children delegations, 24 domestic children delegations and about 1,000 little actors from Tianjin Cathay Future Children Troupe held the activity of " Global children climb the Great Wall" at Huangyaguan Great Wall in Ji County.
The hot weather cannot stop global youngsters' wish to see the sturdy and brilliant scene of Huangyaguan Great Wall. At 10 o'clock in the morning, with the shot fired by Tianjin deputy mayor, Festival organization committee's deputy director Mr. Wang Shuzu, the Global Children Climbing Great Wall began. Every delegation rushed to the Great Wall with their national flags. Delegations from Costarica and Greece reached destination in the shortest period-15 minutes and they played their native dance to celebrate. On the way down the hill, the captain of Greece delegation, the first one to reach the Great Wall, played Greece language games with Chinese kids. Their privity with that Greece old man met no trouble in communication. At the mountain foot there was awarding ceremony for climbing the Great Wall, offcials of Ji County gifted souvenir to global delegations.
This time the organization committee planned carefully. In the following time they gave foreign kids a surprise packet---to prepare birthday cakes and presents to celebrate their birthdays. Seeing this, children were so happy that they danced and sang. It was really the most moment since the Festiva's opening.
